OUR STORY

Allow us to introduce our selves, we are Gail and Jeff Back, husband and wife team. We opened our first restaurant in 2008, just 875 square feet of hopes and dreams. The restaurant was tucked away in one of Folsom’s sub divisions – a well hidden gem. There were three servers, we accounted for two out of the three. We drove to and from work together every day, stopping along the way to pick up our produce because we were too small to fulfill minimum orders.

Ten years went by in a flash at that first location. Our business grew from a wine bar serving small plates to a full service restaurant with craft cocktails and elevated cuisine. We expanded our kitchen, hired great people and met the most amazing customers. From birthday parties, to marriage proposals, It’s been wonderful to be a part of the stories of people’s lives. We’re tremendously thankful for the support of this community.

 

We jumped at the chance to move to the Palladio. The design process was so much fun. We were involved in every decision; sketching the large bar, laying out kitchen equipment and selecting the organically metallic lighting fixtures. Our new location opened April, 2018. We still work together every day. We like to think we get extra credit for staying happily married throughout the years.

 

 

OUR WINE PROGRAM

We have a sommelier curated wine by the glass selection. We support smaller boutique wineries focusing on quality rather than quantity. Try something new and out of the ordinary and get out of your comfort zone. We are here to suggest something you love. Now with the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence.
